Kilmarnock Enterprises (Christchurch, New Zealand)

Kilmarnock Enterprises is a proud supporter of inclusive employment, providing meaningful work for individuals like Flemming Hagan, who has been part of the team for three years.

Day-to-day, Flemming is part of the processing team that sorts salon waste, including hair, bottles, and foil. He also takes pride in operating forklifts, a skill he developed through Kilmarnock’s training program.
"I like coming to work and doing different projects, like e-waste and sorting salon waste. And I enjoy moving the bags with the forklift," he shared with a smile.

Mambourin (Victoria, Australia)

At Mambourin, Tim Smith leads a dedicated team committed to making a difference for the environment. As a mentor and supervisor, Tim ensures that daily loads of recycling are carefully sorted and shipments of metals are efficiently organized for delivery.

"What I love most about my role is knowing that I’m doing my part to reduce waste going to landfill," Tim shared. His pride in having a full-time role shines through in his dedication to sustainability and his team.

With a focus on teamwork and purpose, Tim encourages everyone at Mambourin to “keep up the awesome work we’re all doing to help the environment.”

Mylestones (Queensland, Australia)

At Mylestones, supported employees like Christian Hauser and David McKay have been part of the team for over 15 years.

Christian shared his routine:
"I do safety checks on the baler before every shift, sort recyclable materials, and ensure quality control. I love guiding my co-workers to make sure everything is done right."

David also takes pride in his work:
"I sort through recyclable materials and remove non-recyclables. My favorite part is working with my friends and recycling."

Sustainable Salons Depot (Sydney, Australia)

Meet Jeff, a long-time team member at Sustainable Salons' Sydney Depot and a true master of all trades. From sorting ponytail donations to compacting foil, Jeff plays a vital role in keeping the Sydney depot running smoothly.

"I never knew about the magic of recycling until I started working here," Jeff shared. "Every bit makes a big difference." His passion for sustainability shines through in everything he does, and his dedication inspires everyone around him.

Jeff also has a heartfelt message for our members: "Keep on recycling—there is no Planet B." Thanks to your efforts, Jeff and the Sydney Depot team can continue turning waste into meaningful opportunities and driving sustainability forward.

Workpower (Western Australia)

At Workpower, Jack and Sean have been part of the team for over a decade, working three days a week withSustainable Salons.

Their role focuses on sorting and compacting foil collected from salons. Jack and Sean take pride in their work, knowing they are making a difference. They summed it up simply:
"It’s good fun."
