We’re thrilled to announce an incredible milestone: together with our dedicated members across Australia and New Zealand, we’ve successfully diverted over 2 million kilograms of waste from landfill! This achievement is a testament to our salon community's passion and hard work, who are leading the charge in creating a positive impact on our planet and local communities.

A Celebration of Your Efforts

Here’s a breakdown of what we’ve accomplished together:

  • Hair: 108,270 kg – repurposed into hair booms to clean up oil spills and used in Soilz Alive, a treatment to improve soil health.
  • Plastics: 563,937 kg – recycled into retailable closed-loop items like combs and plant pots.
  • Metals: 671,982 kg – sold for recycling, with proceeds donated to OzHarvest and KiwiHarvest to provide meals for those in need.
  • Paper: 698,373 kg – transformed into new paper products, with proceeds also donated to OzHarvest and KiwiHarvest.
  • Chemicals: 86,094 litres – safely collected and turned back into water to be used in construction and manufacturing..
  • Ponytails: 288,176 – donated to create wigs for those with medically-induced hair-loss conditions

Every kilogram of waste diverted represents your dedication to creating a cleaner planet and a brighter future.
