Cost FAQs
Our team will help you set up your membership with us to be cost neutral. Similar to how your eftpos may work, a small fee is added to each client’s total service to make up your weekly membership fee. The only direct business cost will be a once off set up fee to become a sustainable salon.
We calculate this by asking for how many clients you serviced in the last year and divide that by 52 to get your average number of clients per week. We then multiply this by $3 to get your weekly fee.

Other than the one-off Set Up Fee of $348, your ongoing Sustainable Salons membership is cost neutral, meaning your membership doesn’t have any ongoing costs!
When you become a member, we ask you to add a Sustainable Salons fee of $3 to the end of each service bill. These are then ‘collected’ by your salon and then given to us as your weekly membership fee. However, your weekly fee does not change as it is based on your average weekly clients.

The Sustainable Salons Fee goes toward supporting a range of important sustainability and community initiatives:
40% – Resource collection and redirection
25% – Implementing green practices
20% – Supporting the community
10% – Researching recycling solutions
5% – Awareness and education
We believe that we’re all responsible for the ethical disposal of any waste produced by a product or service we choose to consume.
